CPF’s Practice Leadership Summit

(PAM, Annual Dinner, and Provider Conference)

Each year, CPF  members gather for an event focused on furthering pediatric administration and management training, developing new business opportunities with vendors, and building relationships which serve as support system for everyday collaboration. The not-to-be-missed daytime program is an educational, conference-style event held for practice leadership and senior staff, including clinical leads and providers. The evening program is a dinner structure preceded by a cocktail reception for providers and some local and statewide partners.

The exhibiting vendors provide a unique occasion for organizations to gain exposure with clinics from across Tennessee while providing necessary sponsorship support to the Foundation.

Recently, CPF add a conference-style provider education event and practice workshop to update medical professionals, administrators and providers on topics of interest, including professional speakers and instructors to aid with skills labs and educational content.

Mix Mingle & Jingle

Presented by Cumberland Pediatric Foundation in collaboration with Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and the Department of Pediatrics, this annual event has become the premier holiday networking event for pediatric providers in Middle Tennessee. Hosted at Pinewood Social, attendees enjoy networking with their peers, delicious food, entertainment and signature cocktails. Over 500 attendees gathered last year for yet another celebratory evening of fun.

Open House

Cumberland Pediatric Foundation in conjunction with the Department of Pediatrics at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital partner together to host the annual Open House to promote communication and camaraderie between the community pediatricians, current pediatric residents and the pediatric specialists at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. This event provides an opportunity for collaboration in clinical care and in building your network with other physicians.

The community practices and specialists will have a table to showcase information about their practice which may include anything from brochures to a fun activity displaying information about your partners in your clinic. An award is selected each year for the “Best Table.”

In 2016, CPF introduced the “Pediatric Showcase” at the Open House. The Showcase honors CPF members and partners who have achieved noteworthy accomplishment throughout the year. Awards include participation in research, educational events, best table, medical student hosts, pediatric pioneers, and good citizenship.

CME Dinners

Cumberland Pediatric Foundation is a provider of continuing medical education (CME). These sessions are offered monthly as part of the CPF Educational Series. Topics are selected by our education committee . Credits are obtained from AAFP and Vanderbilt’s CME office and average between 1.5 and 1.75 prescribed credit per session. Prescribed credit is equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit. For more information on credit equivalency, click here. 

Resident Picnic

Cumberland Pediatric Foundation in collaboration with the Department of Pediatrics and the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt host the Annual Pediatric Resident Welcome Picnic. This is a great opportunity for the residents to meet and socialize with new residents and CPF members in a relaxed, fun-filled environment. This annual event takes place in the summer at Centennial Park.

Roundtable Lunches

Roundtables are monthly luncheon gatherings designed specifically for pediatric practice managers. In order to accommodate practice managers across the region, Roundtables are hosted in a different city each month. These luncheons are a great place for practice managers to form connections and share challenges and solutions to issues that affect their work every day.
