Michael Hook, MBA

Position: Director of Research and Education

Michael Hook joined the Cumberland Pediatric Foundation in February 2018. He is currently the Director of Research and Education at CPF. In this role, he collaborates with clinical researchers to develop and implement community practice-based research, quality improvement initiatives focused on operational and process efficiencies, and broad education and resource development efforts. His work supports innovative healthcare solutions that enhance patient care and practice efficiency across Tennessee.

With a background in healthcare management and an MBA focused on healthcare administration, Michael brings extensive experience in strategic partnerships, data- driven process improvement, and healthcare education. He is driven by a passion for improving lives through research and innovation, particularly in identifying new care models that expand access to care or reduce costs. He values the scientific approach to problem-solving and the collaborative education he helps bring to the medical community.

Originally from northeast Ohio, Michael has called Nashville home since 2001. He enjoys spending time with his close-knit family, especially his niece and nephews. An avid volleyball player and mountain biker, he also has a deep passion for astronomy, which brings him both peace and a sense of wonder.
