Position: Director of Community Outreach and Collective Impact
Jadaeka Mazon, affectionately known as “Jay,” joined the Cumberland Pediatric Foundation in April 2023. Jay serves as the Director of Community Outreach and Collective Impact, working statewide to provide resources to members and their patients through community partnerships. With a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an MBA in Leadership and Organizational Management, Jay brings over 20 years of experience in community engagement, nonprofit leadership, and relationship development. She is dedicated to bridging gaps in community resources for pediatric practitioners statewide. Before joining CPF, Jay served as an Executive Director for multiple organizations focused on housing policy, workforce development, and education. In Nashville, she led initiatives addressing homelessness, developed student and parent engagement programs, and designed soft-skills training to support workforce development for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF/Families First) participants. Prior to that, she spent a decade in Knoxville leading a member-run advocacy organization, where she developed an award-winning peer-to-peer training model that empowered communities to influence policy changes at local, state, and national levels. Jay also has experience in higher education administration, where she directed student outreach, academic advising, and registrar services for campuses across the Southeast. During this time, she built a social services network connecting low-income, first-generation, and non-traditional college students with critical resources, allowing them to focus on academic success.
