Session Title: Managing Concussions

This session will provide practical, evidence-based insights to support clinicians in delivering optimal care from initial assessment through recovery and safe return to activity. Participants will review updated evaluation tools, explore factors that influence recovery in young athletes, and gain actionable strategies for implementing Return-to-Learn and Return-to-Play protocols. Opportunities for preventing sports-related concussions will also be discussed, equipping attendees with tools to better protect their patients both on and off the field.

By the end of the session, participants will:

  • Review updated evaluation and assessment tools​
  • Discuss management and recovery factors unique to the school age athlete with a concussion​
  • Examine strategies for Return-to-Learn (RTL) and Return-to-Play (RTP)​
  • Assess opportunities for prevention of sports-related concussion​

CME Credit: 1 CME Credit Hour
