
Join us for an education session on “Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) in Adolescents” with Debra Braun-Courville, MD, Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Adolescent Medicine Fellowship Program Director, Division of Adolescent Young Adult Health, Department of Pediatrics, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
Adolescents face unique biological, behavioral, and social factors that increase their vulnerability to sexually transmitted infections (STIs). This session will provide an overview of the most common STIs affecting adolescents and review current best practices for screening, testing, and treatment. Participants will also explore strategies for addressing confidentiality and creating a supportive clinical environment that encourages adolescents to seek appropriate sexual health care.
