Job Title: Pediatric Nurse (LPN/RN/Medical Assistant)
Location: Pediatric Associates of Franklin

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Pediatric Nurse to join our team. This role is responsible for providing high-quality clinical support, ensuring accurate patient assessments, and delivering safe, efficient care in a fast-paced pediatric environment. The ideal candidate will have prior pediatric experience and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. Experience with Athena EHR is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and document accurate patient measurements and vital signs
  • Perform thorough patient intake, including current symptoms and chief complaints
  • Update and maintain patient medical records, including medications, allergies, surgical history, and hospitalization history
  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure proper cleaning and sanitization between patients
  • Assist providers with clinical procedures, including:
  • Nebulizer and MDI treatments
  • Catheterizations
  • Suture removal
  • Accurately administer and document oral, inhaled, and injectable medications per provider orders
  • Properly prepare immunizations using aseptic technique
  • Administer vaccines according to provider orders and established immunization guidelines
  • Assist with phone triage, document patient calls in the EHR, and return calls as appropriate
  • Monitor provider voicemails and ensure timely follow-up
  • Coordinate patient referrals and obtain prior authorizations as needed
  • Collaborate with providers and fellow nursing staff to manage complex or high-acuity situations
  • Maintain compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and documentation requirements

Qualifications:

  • Current LPN, RN, or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA)
  • Previous pediatric experience preferred (strongly desired)
  • Experience with Athena EHR is a plus
  • Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
