Chanda Freeman
Position: Lead Regional Practice Consultant
Chanda Freeman is a highly skilled Community Health Development Strategist with a Master of Social Work degree from Union University, Jackson, TN. With over 20 years of experience in public health and community health development, Chanda has dedicated her career to advocating for increased access to healthcare benefits and services and promoting strategies that improve health outcomes for people living in rural or underserved communities.
Chanda joined Cumberland Pediatric Foundation in March 2025 to serve as a practice consultant under the Healthcare Resilience Program grant, which supports local practices in increasing access to services in rural or underserved communities. Her deep-rooted connections and understanding of the local healthcare landscape make her an invaluable asset in her role as the Lead Practice Manager Consultant for West TN.
A native of Jackson, Tennessee, Chanda has spent the vast majority of her life living and working in Jackson and Rural West TN, which has allowed her to build a vast network of community-based organizations, medical providers, and communities of faith.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Chanda is a minister at Christian Lifeway Ministries in Oakfield, TN. She finds joy in reading, writing, nurturing plants, and immersing herself in nature
