Job Description:
Compass Pediatrics is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our compassionate healthcare team. This is a rare opportunity to join a growing, award-winning clinic of two pediatricians and a nurse practitioner in a forward-thinking, like-minded, collegial environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience as a practicing pediatric nurse practitioner with 5 years experience preferred, and a strong commitment to serving pediatric patients and their families. This role involves providing high-quality medical care, educating and empowering parents and children, and advocating for the needs of our young patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive healthcare to pediatric patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
- Educate and empower parents and children on health management, preventive care, and wellness strategies.
- Advocate for the health and well-being of children in the community and within the healthcare system.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Participate in community outreach programs and health education initiatives.
- Share call responsibilities with other providers on the team.
Qualifications:
- Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) with a current Tennessee state license.
- A minimum of 2 years experience as a practicing pediatric nurse practitioner with 5 years experience preferred.
- Maintains basic life support certifications.
- Maintains current continuing nursing/medical education and requirements for privileging.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage a variety of pediatric health conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on compassionate care.
- Ability to educate and support parents and families in managing their children’s health.
- Commitment to advocating for children’s health needs and well-being.
